EMGS Gathers in Monterey
EMGS gathers in Monterey, California for their 44th Annual Meeting. Ofelia Olivero and the Program Committee have an exciting agenda prepared for all who will attend.
On Saturday afternoon, attendees engage in the Saturday workshop entitled “New Approaches for Improving Genotoxicity Evaluation.” This workshop will discuss a range of new approaches that address existing gaps/issues with current assays or respond to challenges imposed to our area by emerging regulation. The workshop will culminate in a presentation entitled “clean sheet testing” which will outline the effort of developing an evaluation strategy which starts in the here and now and ignores the burden of 40 years of regulatory genotoxicity assays.
Separate registration is required to attend the workshop. If you have not yet registered for this exciting opportunity, please visit the registration desk located in Regency Foyer.
After the workshop draws to a close, meeting attendees will gather at the President’s Welcome Reception. It is a great chance to relax and reconnect with colleagues at the beginning of the meeting. It is also an opportunity to preview presentations that will be given by students and new investigators later in the week.
The reception will take place at 6:00 pm in the Monterey Grand Ballroom (located near the hotel lobby). I look forward to seeing you there.
If you have not experienced the EMGS meeting before, then you will want to stop and chat with members wearing an I Am EMGS button. They have great information to share with you about the meeting and EMGS.
It is going to be a great week!
