Two concurrent sessions will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 am-1:00 pm.
Symposium 7: DNA Repair Pathway Crosstalk and the Response to Complex Genotoxins: This session will present some of the latest data involving DNA repair pathways that respond to such complex genotoxins, offering insights into the emerging evidence for DNA repair pathway crosstalk. In particular, the session will include presentations focused on the repair of base damage, the repair of DNA crosslinks, cellular signaling mechanisms that bridge multiple DNA repair pathways and defects in these pathways found in human cancers.
Symposium 8: Spotlighting Interdisciplinary Research: A Genetics and Environmental Toxicology Association of Northern California (GETA) Young Investigator Forum: The Genetic and Environmental Toxicology Association of Northern California (GETA) is pleased to present a special symposium at the EMGS 44th Annual Meeting. We have assembled a diverse group of speakers from local universities who will discuss their current research covering a wide range of scientific disciplines. Transdisciplinary topics will include biomarkers of manganese exposure and neurodevelopmental consequences, epigenetic consequences of PCB and PBDE exposures, and the metagenome and environmental exposures. Please join us for this unique forum where GETA and EMGS turns the spotlight on the next generation of young researchers.
