"Schiestl is director of the UCLA Center for Environmental Genomics and a member of the UCLA Cancer Center, the UCLA Center of Occupational and Environmental Health, the UCLA Interdepartmental Program in Molecular Toxicology and the UCLA ACCESS Graduate Program steering committee. In 2014, he was selected as the Professional of the Year by Strathmore’s Who’s Who in Higher Education, Pathology and Cancer Research. He received his Ph.D. in biology and genetics from the University of Vienna in Austria."
