Three SIGs will meet on Monday from 7:00 am–8:30 am to share free-form discussion and short presentations of key challenges and new initiatives. The SIGs provide a casual way for young investigators and seasoned researchers to interact.

- Environmental Genetic Toxicology Special Interest Group and Molecular Epidemiology Special Interest Group Joint Meeting
- New Technologies Special Interest Group

Keynote Speaker Paul Modrich will discuss Mechanisms in Human DNA Mismatch Repair at 8:45 am in Century A.

The Women in the EMGS Luncheon will be held in Pershing East at 12:30. This year’s topic is The Art of Effective Negotiation. Separate registration is required for the WEMGS Luncheon.
In the afternoon, three sessions will begin at 2:00 pm. Basic Science Platform Session 2 will be in Century A. Applied Science Platform Session 2 will be held in Century B. Flash Talk Session 2 will take place at 4:30 pm in Century A. This session features short presentations by students and new investigators who are included in Poster Session 2.
