POSTERS
The hub of the scientific meetings is the exciting new science being presented in poster format. Our opening evening will include a two-hour student and new investigator poster session on Saturday, August 27 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm ET. There will be three additional poster sessions accommodating up to 200 posters at a time, with exhibitions from vendors in parallel on Sunday, August 28 from 5:00pm until 6:30pm ET, Monday, August 29 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm ET and Tuesday, August 30 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm ET.
Poster Presentation Guidelines
- It takes considerable effort and attention to detail to prepare an effective poster presentation. We ask that you take the time to make yours interesting and informative.
- Your poster must fit within a space 47" tall by 45" wide.
- Posters should use font sizes large enough to be read from a distance of one meter.
- Each poster should be organized as follows:
- A top label indicating the title of the paper (should be the same as the abstract title) with names of the authors and their affiliations.
- A summary should be located on the lower right portion and contain no more than five items.
- Charts should be simple with bold lines.
The poster boards will be horizontal with dimensions of eight feet wide by four feet tall. Each poster board will have two posters. Your presentation must absolutely not be larger than four feet by four feet. Push pins will be provided on-site to attach your poster to the board.
Poster Board Size: eight feet (2.43 m) long by four feet (1.22 m) tall.
Presentation Size: 45" long by 47" tall.
Poster presentations should also be submitted as a 3-min video of your poster, presented on 1-3 slides.
Be creative but stay within the 3 min/3 slide requirement
Use the appropriate video instructions to record your video. If using PowerPoint, select the video pertaining to either a PC or a mac. If using presentation software other than PowerPoint, or if you're showing a web browser, use the instructions pertaining to Zoom. Ether method will work. Limitations are that posters should be 1-3 slides and narration no longer than 3 minutes. If you would like to upload a pdf of your poster you can do that as well but not required.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please let us know at emgshq@emgs-us.org
The deadline to submit your poster online is August 5, 2022.
